Traditional Strengthening
Pipeline rehabilitation and bulk liquid storage is a pivotal part of ensuring pipelines and assets are well-maintained, particularly when they are load-bearing and carry gas, oils, water, and other types of vital resources. To ensure these assets stand the test of time against ageing, wear & tear, corrosion, and more – we use pipeline rehabilitation.
Carbon Fibre Strengthening
Carbon fibre strengthening, or CFRP for short, involves using materials made from carbon fibre and epoxy resins to strengthen, reinforce and rehabilitate buildings, structures, or existing structural elements, also known as composite strengthening.
Carbon fibre strengthening focuses on providing lost or additional strength to concrete structural elements, additional strength could be due to change of use, refurbishment or incorrect design/construction. Diminished strength could be due to corrosion damage, aged or weakening structures including bridges, tanks, pipes and sewers. Seismic retrofit, although not often required outside of the nuclear industry in the UK; can also be provided along with structural preservation.
